Ms. Kern was born and raised in New York. She attended Nassau Community College where she earned her Associates in Childhood Education and then attended SUNY Old Westbury where she earned her Bachelors in English. After graduation, she moved to South Carolina and became a preschool teacher. She taught prek for an 6 years. 

Ms. Kern has a strong background in English and is proud to work with 7th grade students this year.

In her spare time, she also teaches ballet and tap to toddlers at a dance studio in Sanford. You can also hear her singing showtunes because she loves to sing/act in musicals. 

For my classroom, I will be utilizing Google Classroom on a daily basis.  Any classroom announcements and assignments will be posted to Google classroom.  Once your child is in the classroom, he/she/they will be entered in my google classroom and I will also send an email to the parents requesting to join as well.
