Welcome to first grade! I am Shaneik Hardial, a Jamaican born who is extremely happy to be working at Harnett Primary School. More importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher!I know this year and the years ahead will be great for all of us to grow and learn together. 

I am a graduate of the Mioneague College and the International University of the Caribbean where I obtained a teaching diploma in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling in 2013 respectively. I have been teaching for approximately 11 years at a wide range of grade levels inclusive of 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and currently 1st grade. 

I am a mother of two beautiful girls and along with spending quality time with them, I also enjoy reading, listening to music and public speaking. 

It is my greatest desire to help students to perform at their fullest potential maximizing on their abilities with the use of critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication and the required scaffolding. 

I am so excited to be your teacher and for you to be a part of this AWESOME class. This shall be an AMAZING year!
