My name is Kenneth Wells and I am the computer technology teacher and media assistant for South Harnett Elementary (SHE). Before I came to work at SHE, I had the distinct privilege of retiring from the United States Army. Soon after I retired, I government contracted for a company named Warfighting System Solutions, where I was able to evaluate Army battalions who were getting ready to deploy to the Middle East. My education includes studying Business Management at Grantham University and Sustainable Agriculture at Central Carolina Community College. I'm also OSHA 30 and Solar certified through Fayetteville Technical Community College. I am married to my amazing wife of almost 22 years, and I am a father of five amazing children and Papa to two amazing grandchildren. My hobbies include fishing, hunting, mountain biking, ATV riding, and boating.
Every teacher has expectations and these are my expectations. The expectations of the computer lab are to build a basic understanding of computers and teach students how computers have become an important aspect in school education. Computers are a vital part of our daily lives, from the checkout at the grocery store to the alert on your phone through a doorbell. The computers that are used in education are particularly important for all students and teachers and the importance of computer technology cannot be underestimated. I look forward to teaching your children and creating a rewarding experience through the power of modern computer technology.
