Hello! My name is Lexi Batkins, and I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher! This is my second year here at Lillington-Shawtown Elementary. I recently moved to North Carolina from Virginia to both explore new places and pursue my career in education. In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach with my fiancé, taking pictures, and cooking. 

I would describe my classroom environment as inclusive, nurturing, and respectful. I am and will always be an advocate for my students; their safety is my number one priority. My expectations are that they are willing to learn, they respect their peers and myself as their teacher, and they always ask questions. I send out weekly newsletters that go home with your child every Monday, detailing important upcoming dates, what we are covering in class, reminders, and my contact information.
