My name is Abbey Arnold.  I came to call Sanford, NC my home when I moved here 19 years ago with my military family.  I attended Western Harnett High School for my junior and senior years, graduating as a North Carolina Scholar in 2004.  I went on to receive my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in December 2008.

 I have had the pleasure of teaching first, second, third, and fourth grades with a total of 12 years of experience.  I began my journey as a Reading Recovery Specialist this past year and absolutely love working with the little ones to improve their skills in reading.

 My husband, Robbie and I have been married for fifteen years and have three beautiful children.  Cameron is our 15 year old boy and is in sophomore year at Western Harnett High School.  Addison and Rhylan are our 9 year old identical twin girls attending fourth grade at Highland Elementary.  I am also a huge animal lover and our family has three fur babies, Maggie, an 11 year old Black lab mix; Gus, a 6 year old Great Dane mix; and Simba, a 2 year old Orange Tabby.

 I am looking forward to an exciting and challenging year!
