My name is Mary Oberlander. I am originally from Erie, Pa. My husband and I relocated to North Carolina in 2006. I have a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Fine Arts from Ashland University, Ashland, OH. I obtained my Teaching Credentials from Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA. 

I taught one year sixth grade math/science at Selma Middles School in Johnston County. I spent 4 years at Johnsonville Elementary in second grade. I also taught one year in kindergarten at Parkton Elementary in Robinson County. I have also done private tutoring for over 10 years.

I did spend some time away from teaching, where I spent time in the medical field. I have worked in a few different medical offices as a secretary. I have also worked as a pharmacy tech.

My husband and I reside in Sanford, near Highland Elementary, with our two kids.
