Welcome to 4th grade at Angier Elementary!
We are so excited to have you join us. My name is Shelton Burkart, and this is my first year teaching 4th grade. I was born and raised in Cumberland County, and have always loved North Carolina. I love spending my free time singing, performing in live theatre, and spending time with my 9 siblings. Growing up, I lived on a farm and loved getting to experience life with various animals, including horses, goats, and one cranky donkey.
I am eager to begin this new adventure with your students! There are so many new things your students will learn this year, and I am thrilled that I can help guide them on this journey to academic excellence. My favorite subject is social studies, and it will be so exciting as we explore so much about North Carolina and its culture. Being from North Carolina, I appreciate many of the little things we do, such as Mule Days in Benson. What an exciting time your students are living in, and I am grateful that I get to be a part of their growth. Please never hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. Your student's well-being and education are my top priorities. Between the new lessons they are learning, and the great support I expect from you, your students will be ready for their next adventure in no time at all!
