Hello, Western Harnett students and parents, and welcome to my ELA and Social Studies class!  My name's Mr Beemer, and I'm excited to be joining you all from the great state of Iowa.  I graduated from Iowa State U. with a degree in history and teaching English as a second language.  Apart from teaching the craft of reading, writing, speaking, and historiography, I enjoy reading and writing myself, hiking with my wife, and playing the guitar and violin.  I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.  See you in class!
