I am so excited about teaching your 3rd grader this year! I have been working as an educator in Harnett County Schools since January 2018. This is my 5th year at OES. Prior to coming to OES, I taught 3rd grade at South Harnett Elementary School. I taught birth- prekindergarten/ head start for 10 years. I am the mother of 4 - my son Jose is 15, my son Jeovanni is 12, my daughter Ariana is 1 and my youngest daughter Aliana was born in April 2022. I have 2 dogs; my Chihuahua named Princess and a Pitbull named Smokie. When I’m not at school, I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy going bowling, playing board games, playing cards, going to museums or watching movies together. I love reading and learning new things!

I believe that every child deserves a nurturing environment with a teacher who is knowledgeable about the content they teach in order for them to reach their full potential. As a teacher, I do everything in my power to provide this learning environment for my students. I provide opportunities for my students to use their own natural curiosity to learn and discover new ideas and allow them to share their ideas with one another. Children ask questions and I encourage my students to not only ask questions but also to seek out the answers to their questions. I love seeing the excitement in my students’ eyes when they learn something new, especially through self-discovery. This fosters their ability to grow into 21st century thinkers, problem solvers and adults. I love teaching third grade!! I look forward to making this experience as fun and enjoyable as possible!  We are going to work hard but we are going to have a lot of fun!
