My name is Melissa Pope. I am a Reading Recovery Teacher at Erwin Elementary. I graduated from Campbell University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education for grades K-6. I also received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Campbell. In 2017, I received my Reading Recovery certification. I have been teaching for 2o years. This is my third year of Reading Recovery but I have previously taught first grade, second grade, and fifth grade.

I have been married for twenty years and we have 2 sons. I enjoy reading in my spare time and going to the beach or pool. I look forward to getting to know all of my new students and their families!
