Bienvenidos!

Dear Parents, 

This year I will be with your teens in the Dual Language Immersion. My name is Thais Bustos, I am from  Costa Rica, I have been teaching for more than 14 years in my home country. I am very passionate about my lifestyle, teaching methods, nature, and cultural immersion. My husband, Luis, is a professional photographer who loves to capture the happiest moments of people’s lives. I have two teenagers at home. Sofia is the youngest and she is 15 years old, Daniel is 18 years old and both love to live in this wonderful state. We are happy to be part of this community and expect to be good citizens. In Costa Rica I had the opportunity to help learners to acquire a new language. I apply different strategies to bring to the classroom real life situations and how to develop target language in a natural way. 

Forming students with the sense of commitment and responsibility for their own desire of learning is one of my goals. We will be developing educative support in order to get positive results (participation of the school, students, and parents at the same time).
